Reese is the big 8!!

It's hard to believe he's now 8! I remember thinking when he was around 18 months that I never wanted to have anymore children because he hit terrible 2's at full stride. He was such a good baby and then that age hit and he was a definite challenge. But years later we are so proud of the sweet boy he is turning out to be. We hope he had a wonderful 8th birthday!

Reese's best buddy, Camden
We surprised him at school during lunch and had the privilege of eating McD's with him and about 80 other kids! He loved having the bouquet of balloons stuck to his bum!
We had a friend party at a new bowling alley here in Lehi called Jack and Jill Lanes. They have a room for laser tag and that's what Reese wanted to do. The kids had a great time and it was so much fun. This is a great, well behaved group of kiddles.

Lauren's Dance Recital

Lauren did so great this year at her annual dance recital. It's a little brutal sitting through 3 hours of a recital but I'd rather do this than week after week of football games in the heat! She was so cute in her costume and did really well. We just love our little Mona Lisa!

Hollis Jay

Today we remember our sweet nephew Hollis Jay. People say silly things in time of grief so I'd like to just say our thoughts and hearts are with Randy and Rebecca today. We wish we could have met him and his uncle whom he's named after could have held him. Today is one of those days I snuggle my kids a little tighter and appreciate them more, like Randy and Rebecca urged us to do. Maybe we can all try to live up to this perfect little man. Love you Randy and Rebecca!

Oh My H-Ellie

(Her idea of smiling-sorry it's blurry but the kid can't sit still to save her little life!)

You know those moments when you're faced with a situation with your children and you can either scream at them or take a moment, shake your head in silence and say to yourself "Lord Give Me Strength"!! This fun little moment with Ellie happened a few weeks ago when I was headed out the door for church. Everyone was ready to go and I noticed my little Eleanor with a blue dry erase marker. She'd been playing downstairs by herself while I finished getting ready, Ryan had left with Reese to do some stuff before church started, and Lauren was upstairs with me probably entertaining Lyndi. So when I walked down the stairs this is what I saw first
And then..

And then...
And then...
And then...
And then...
And then...
And then...

(Yep that's right folks, that is a beautifully upholstered dining room chair she kindly decorated, just one none of the others. Tender mercies I suppose.)
