Usually I am not one for standing on a soap box but after watching the Oprah show this past week I felt it was extremely important to help out in this cause. Some of the topics she discusses on her show I don't agree with but this particular show I watched really opened my eyes.
This past week she had a show concerning a horrible epidemic taking over the Internet and the safety and privacy of our precious children. The things that were discussed made me absolutely sick to my stomach but also opened up my eyes to the evil that is out there everyday. I could not believe that within a 24 hour period over 15,000 pornographic images of babies and young children were "traded" throughout the United States. Disgusting images and videos are traded everyday and every hour in this nation, things that I couldn't believe happen. So here is my soap box! Oprah's show made me aware of a bill that needs to be passed in the Senate to authorize over $320 million dollars over the next 5 years to local law enforcement to investigate child exploitation. Please go to the link below to do what you can. All she's asking is for us as mothers to write to our state senators to urge them to pass this bill. If you watched the show you were as saddened as I was if you didn't watch it believe it was horrible! Thank you!

Even the thought makes me sick. I can't imagine how you feel as a mother.
I watched it. It is so disgusting to me that there are people out there who delight in the rape of small children. It makes me squeeze my kids a little tighter at night and pray that we can always keep them safe.
Thanks for letting us know about this. This is definitely something small we can do to hopefully make a huge impact.
uggh I saw the same show and was just as disgusted. Thanks for getting this out on the web. And hey, lets hang out Thursday or something since Ryan will be gone.
Thanks for updating me on that. I already sent an email.
Way to look out for our kids :)
