Happy Birthday Reese

(We did a lot of this together!! Wow how you forget what it's like with just one!)(He HATED that hat, that was one of my favorite outfits!)

Our little man, our only little man turned 7! It was a super crazy weekend but we were so glad to get Valadez family pictures taken and celebrate Reese's birthday! Dana and Kevin came into town for a visit and it worked out that they were here until Tuesday. First off we want to thank all the family that came to Reese's shin-dig last night, it was fun having both grandparents here and a few of his Aunts and Uncles.

As many of you know Little Roo came to us as somewhat of a surprise. Our 5 year plan did not work very well when I skipped a birth control day and "tried" doubling up, 9 months later came little Ootie exactly a week before our year anniversary! We were so young and probably not very smart but we were so blessed to have him right off the bat. When he got a little older we taught him all sorts of tricks and funny things to do, my parents would always tell us "He's not
a toy you know!?!". Oh but he was, he was such a fun baby! Toddlers, ehh thats a whole other blog. But as he's gotten older and now that he's 7 we have transitioned out of the little boy stage. He's such a smart little sucker and has done well his 1st grade year. This past year we have come to realize that he is an amazing reader and can pick up on the lyrics of a song quickly and sing a song back to us. He has such a sweet little voice, we love it when he sings to us. My favorite is his "I Like Money" song! HILARIOUS! Anyway, not to brag but we love our little guy. He's an amazing big brother to Lauren and Ellie and brings us so much joy, grief as well but not too much! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our little guy!

Happy Easter!

(note: Totally photoshopped Lauren and I into this picture, I LOVE Photoshop! So cool!)

We had such a great Easter Sunday. The weather was okay, sunny but still a little chilly. Church was awesome and we had some really great talks about the Savior and in Young Womans another advisor gave a wonderful lesson. We hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday! Love to all!

(Ellie's looking at Sherman cause the stinkin dog can't sit still to save his life!)

(Poor Lo she's been sick and feeling poopy for the past few days! Thats why she looks like she's on drugs in this picture!)

P.S. I'd like to pop my husband for downloading a coupon bar that keeps shutting down my internet explorer!!! ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!

Platinum Retreat

Last weekend Platinum had their annual retreat. Last year it was down in Moab and this year it was at a ranch resort on the east side of Zions National Park. Unfortunately we didn't get to stop and enjoy the park but it was amazing to drive through. I made Ryan stop for one awesome photo-op at sunset though. We had a great time and it was fun getting to know the people Ryan works with. It was a quick trip but we had a great time, well other than the first night Ellie didn't go to sleep until 3:30am or the next night when she woke up at 5am. Or when our kids seemed to be prone to spilling their soda at lunch and dinner both days, holy cow are you kidding me??!!?? OK so other than those little whoopsies it was fun! We totally want to go back and spend a family vacation down there!

(Don't mind the Roo butt!)

(Roo on the zip line, he loved it! It was well worth his hour wait to be able to go down 2 times!)

(The Tramp Bungee-She loved it, and the hair-I just give up, it's whispy and I have no idea what to do with it half the time!)

(Ellers trying to keep warm with Daddy!)
