Updates!

I'm done with Ellie's blanket, thank goodness! Just in the nick of time! I had a doctors appointment yesterday and got the lovely "check" and everything is going fine. I'm slightly dilated and looks like I'm on target. I'm hoping that target is still shortly after the 4th of July festivities! So after coming home from my appointment I figured I'd get on the ball and get her blanket done, except the only thing in her room is a crib with a blanket on it. Oh well, it will get there!

Reese is done with swim on Thursday and has done pretty well. Ryan and I have realized this was the wrong type of class to put him in. They haven't taught him all the things we would have liked him to know by this point but yet again, oh well!

Lauren and Sherman enjoy being outside in this warm/hot weather. She and Sherman are little buddies even though he has yet to catch on that it is not okay to bite her arms like a bone to eat. She's so sweet to him and he's like a younger annoying brother! Poor girl!

We're doing well and are anxiously awaiting this little girl to make her appearance!

Reese's Swim Lessons: Day 1

So our little twig boy does float!!! Reese just loved it. He's in the 6-8 year old class and was the only boy in his group, even has a female teacher, who's like 16!! Anyway I'm glad he enjoyed it and is so excited to be going everyday for the next week and a half.
p.s. putting Day 1 in the title doesn't mean I'm going to be blogging about every day he's in swim class, it's actually slightly boring for the moms! :)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Note: I had a picture of Ryan's dad but for some reason it won't let me download it!! :(
This weekend was a bit busy so I haven't gotten a chance to thank my dad, husband, and father in-law for being great dads!

I won't go on and on I just wanted to say how grateful I am for a husband who has more than provided for our little family. I have never felt like he wouldn't be there for us when we need him most. He works extremely hard and travels a lot but when he's home we get the most of him, even if we have to all stand around and watch him mess with his garden boxes or play his drums in the basement!! hehehe j/k I feel so blessed to have a true companion and best friend in Ryan. I love him so much. I don't think people understand how much I love him and need him and always love being around him!

My old dad!! He's not old but it's a family nickname that we call him Old Dudie. My dad... What do I say about him. Like Ryan and most men I know he has always provided for my siblings and I. No dad isn't perfect but my dad tried and I love him despite his imperfections. I love to see him with my kids and it warms my heart and brings a tear to my eyes to see how much Reese adores him. Reese always says, "I have a big Papa noggin!" it's a great source of pride for Reese to be just like his Papa. I love my dad and hope that he knows how much we love him and how much my kids love him to pieces.

Dad Newcomer-you've always been so sweet to me. I feel so blessed that I have a father in-law that is such a sweet person. He does things for people and NEVER complains. I watched him this last weekend while we were in Evanston and he is so sweet to Grandma Sprague. He helped her and chatted with her and even watched a show with her in her room. It was just so cute to see him doing those things. He works so hard and does work he doesn't necessarily love but he does it cause he's such a good person and a good provider. I know Ryan is the type of father because of the way his father was with him.

I love each of these men that are in my life and feel blessed to be surrounded by them! So Happy Belated Father's Day!

Father/Son+Old Papa Campout

Friday night was the Father/Son Campout for our ward and of course I made Ryan take the camera with him. It wouldn't be an event without the camera! They went to a private property about 30 minutes from here and had a great time. Well...other than the rain at 4am! Poor guys. Ryan and Reese invited my dad to go along and they also took Sherman with them. Here are some pictures from their evening.

My mom and I and Lo went up to Park City and spent the night up there and went shopping together the next morning. It was a blast and of course I love hanging out with my mom and Lo. We just wished Dane and Reags were there to enjoy the fun!

"Baby Shower" from Ryan

For months now I have been bugging Ryan about getting the essential gear for when Ellie comes. My due date is about 4 weeks away but will most likely have her early, I'm hoping earlier than both Reese and Lauren, cross your fingers. I doubt this request warrants fasting but cross your fingers either way!

So on Saturday we were out running errands, like I said, ones I've wanted to do for months but there was always something better to do, (i.e. garden boxes-Lacey knows!) Reese really really needed a dresser and we started out on our search for one that didn't cost an arm and a leg. After 3 furniture stores we hopped over to DownEast Home and found exactly what I wanted for only $380. That probably sounds expensive to most but after looking at those 3 different furniture stores and everyone of them were well over $800 this was an AWESOME deal. And it's a Pottery Barn one at that.

On to my most favorite place to shop TARGET, I think I have even converted Ryan over to the "red" side! We got Ellie's car seat-stroller combo and Mr. Money bags insisted on getting that new Graco contraption, Sweet Peace or whatever it's called.

I called this blog "baby shower" from Ryan cause we were finally able to get some stuff done that I wanted to do for the baby and also getting that dresser was a bonus. Thank you honey, you're the best!
We hope everyone is doing well, love to all, like always! :)

Some updates

DANCE FESTIVAL

(Left:Aww these are a few of Reese's best buddies this year, Eric and Spencer, of course he made quick friends with twins!! Right: Reese and Mrs. Warnick his awesome teacher on the last day of school.)

I've been wanting to blog about Reese for a few days now but I got really sick yesterday and was out of it all day long. Anyway, Reese is out of school! :( I have mixed feelings, it's nice to have him home and not running him back and forth to school AND doing homework got to be annoying! But he loves school so much and thinks he's starting 1st grade tomorrow! Poor kid has no idea how much fun summer can be, he'll get there one day!
Two days before school got out he had a dance festival, apparently it's a big deal in Utah and they have been practicing for weeks. The kindergarten classes did a Charleston and it was SOOO cute to see 143 of them all dressed up and looking great! Here's a few pictures of Reese from that day.
Also we got Reese a bike for Christmas and he's been practicing on it in the basement this whole time. It's been nice for a few weeks but Reese always plays on his little Razor so finally we forced him to grab his bike and try it out on the street. He's always kind of a martyr about doing something new especially if he knows he might get hurt. Anyway back to forcing him... he grabbed his bike and took off right away. I don't think Ryan even really had to help him, they kind of skipped over the whole daddy holding onto the back of the seat stage. He apparently has better balance then he thought and was a pro at it right away. He's fallen of course but he's pretty confident and has done so well. We're so proud of him, he's growing up too fast! We feel old!

Last but not least...

Updated pictures of our youngest Newcomer, well for right now! Sherman is getting so big and of course he's still a little booger pup but he's so fun. He thinks I'm his biting toy and Ryan is his walking and all around fun buddy. But look how cute he is. He may look sad but he's NOT! :)
