Tagged, darn it!!

So I thought I would miss the boat on this one but a friend of mine just tagged me!! Dang it! Just kidding.

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?
HAHA I lied! If you read my previous answer to this question ignore me, I'm losing my mind and this baby is taking it with him/her! 10 years ago I was in my junior year. I was commuting 45 min each way to my high school and now that I look back I was definitely insane!!

2. 5 Things on my To-Do list today:

Take Reese to school in about 45min, eventually shower, call my visiting teaching companion back, each lunch, and hmmm probably sit on my bum for a few minutes!! Wow I'm exciting!

3. 5 snacks I enjoy:

Being pregnant I am the queen of snacks right now, they make me feel better!! :)
1. Pre-made Rice Krispy Treats
2. Nature Valley Peanut Butter granola bars
3. Occasional Oreo cookie
4. Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
5. Anything at my fingertips!! :)

4. 3 Bad Habits

I have none!! HA yeah right!

1. Not getting laundry done or putting it away when it is done!
2. Getting Reese to school on time
3. Getting fast-food!!!

5. What would you do if you were instantly a billionaire?

Pay off loved ones mortgages, oh and our mortgage. Buy a beach house in Cali, a cabin in Utah, maybe Cali. Decorate and landscape our new house. Pay tithing, wow that'd be a huge check! Probably keep the rest and think about what I would do with it!

6. 5 places I've lived

1. Whittier, CA
2. Chino Hills, CA
3. Provo, UT
4. Seattle, WA
5. Lehi, UT

7. 5 things people don't know about me

1. I can eat a bag of sunflower seeds like any baseball player!
2. I LOVE homemade popcorn and a yummy Pina Colada to go with it! By far my favorite dessert!
3. My mom and dad didn't know Dana and I were twins or that they were having twins until I was delivered and found that there was still one baby in there!!
4. One day I want to own a classic 1965 Ford Mustang
5. I wanted to be an animal trainer at Sea World when I was growing up, all the way up until college actually. My major was Zoology!

Doo Doo moment!

Last week Ryan was helping Lauren in the bathroom and discovered one of the kids had smeared poop on the toilet seat. Of course Lauren automatically blamed Reese and vice versa!! So we never figured out the toilet poop smearer. Today Lauren came upstairs and was slightly frantic about a pooping situation that she could not explain very well. So I went downstairs to check on her situation and smelled it right away, and of course saw it all over the right side of the toilet seat. Funny that the poop smear looked identical to the one Ryan discovered last week!! Hmmmm could it be??!! Anyway needless to say Lauren had a problem and after holding my breath and throwing a pair of panties away she no longer has a problem!! :) Just thought I would share my doodoo moment with you, oh the joys of motherhood!

P.S. I would have taken a picture but figured you could use your wild imaginations!

Happy Birthday Lo!!

I can't believe 3 years ago I was sitting in the hospital in labor waiting for our baby girl to arrive. She made her appereance at 1:54pm after an intense hour of the epideral wearing off and pushing for about 20 minutes. Boy I was releaved to finally hold her and see her. She was a tiny little thing straight from heaven and Ryan and I couldn't be more excited to have a dainty girl after our crazy little Roo. When she was born she had dark brown hair and I thought for sure some of my mixed genes had worn off on her, little did I know she would have lighter brown hair, the same color as Ryan! Now 3 years later as Ryan and I look back and reflect about what she's done and how she's grown we always smile at how big she's gotten and how incredibly smart she is. Like I said she is definitely dainty and has all the girl drama to go with it! We love her so much and hope she has a great birthday today!! Happy Birthday Lauren Isabel!!!

NO fun in the snow!

One of the buried cars behind our house!

Yesterday was quite the eventful day!! The snow storm rolled into Utah Valley and hit our area around 3pm, right before Reese got out of school. I left 20 minutes early so I could catch a spot in the Kindergarten circle!! Don't ask!! So from around 3pm the wind starting blowing and I don't mean nice breeze blowing more like blowing so hard you can't breath! Reese got out around 3:30pm and his teacher let them out another door and of course parents in the Kindergarten circle are retarded and couldn't figure out how to get their kids in the car faster. So these poor little munchkins who's parents were waiting to get their kids pretty much froze, oh and some of them didn't have jackets! I got Reese home thank goodness and I'm grateful we only live about 1/2 mile away from the school. Event #2- Ryan thinking the weather wasn't that bad didn't leave South Provo (note: normally a 30min commute) until 5:30pm. Let's see he didn't make it home until 7:30pm. YES TWO HOURS!!! Maybe I'm not conveying how bad the weather really was but it was bad, the worst I've ever seen, so bad they closed the main highway in front of our house, SR-92. Then I called my mom cause she commutes from downtown SLC and I was really worried she wouldn't be able to make it home. She made it home around 7:45 almost 3 hours from the time she left work! And the most major event which I could not get a picture of last night cause it was blowing so hard outside. There is a round-about behind our house and because they closed the connecting main highway they were re-routing everyone to this round-about. It was insane for not even joking for over 6 hours. An ambulance showed up and there are about 3 cars buried this morning. We felt so bad sitting in our warm house watching these poor people stuck in their cars for hours. Anyway, Ryan left this morning thinking he could make it out of our street and the pictures will show that was not the case! These pictures are just a few I took of the aftermath of last night! Love to all!
The snow drift was up about 3 feet, that's Ryan's stuck truck behind our mailbox!

Hanging his head in shame!!! :)

Fun in the Snow!

I've been meaning to let the kids play outside in the backyard since we are not lacking in snow back there. And for once I wanted to be a semi-fun mom! So here is what they did after Reese got home from school today!

The Worlds Greatest

Most of you know that Utah has been slammed this year with lots of snow. In the 9 years I have lived in Utah this is by far the worst winter. It's beautiful but also very annoying to have a 3 foot snow drift and about 7-8 inches in our driveway alone. So since moving to the new house we have yet to invest in a 4-wheeler with a plow blade and so here is our wonderful alternative that has showed up a few times at our house. His name is Brother Gerber and he's the High Priest group leader for our new ward. The first snow we had he was out there plowing away down our street and up each of the neighbors driveways. And today when I came home there was our magical plow elf out there again plowing the neighborhood. Mind you he is not paid by the city, which should be doing it, he is merely doing this huge act of kindness as service to all of us. I can't express how sweet this man is and how grateful I feel for him and his kind heart. So this is a way to thank him, and of course I'm thinking up a great gift for our plow elf!! :)

Our front walkway! The snow drift was up to about 2 feet high.

Yes those are our trash cans that got buried on Sunday.
